L. [?]. Sir,

Enclosed Review, you will please find a letter from [?] [?] soliciting of this Circuit – also [?] by the [[Jury|Jury]] who tried the case of the State [?] [[Williamson, John|John P. Williamson]] in my new a fine of Fifty dollars.

If you desire a petition from the Citizens of This County, I will send it to you – I believe every man in the County would sign it.

Mr. Willaimson is a very [[Poor man|poor man]] – [?] a very [?] able me.

Camden at the same time induces me to state that I was his counsel.

Moving that it may be a case of Executive [?] - and that the fine may be remitted.

I am in very great haste

In the undersigned [[Jurors.|Jurors]] who tried the case of the State a against John P. Williamson at the Spring Term ^1858 of this [[Circuit courts.|Circuit Court]] of [[Clark County (Ala.)|Clark County]] respectfully represent unto your Excellency, that the Defendant was [[Conviction|convicted]] and fined in the sum of Fifty Dollars by a rigid rule of law – That he is a good And honest Citizen – but a very [[Poor man|poor man]] – And that the code of Justice would be subserved by the remission of said fine.
