Governor of the State of Alabama
Your petitioners citizens of the county of [[Choctaw County (Ala.)|Choctaw]] who witnessed the [[Trials|trial]] of [[Thompson, Archibald|Archibald Thompson]] at the present term of the Circuit Court of this County, charged with the [[Murder|murder]] of [[Frisbie, Daniel|Daniel Frisbie]] – and others his representatives who did not hear said* trial humbly represent to your Excellency that from the doubt still existing as to the real guilt of said Thompson, and on account of his previous good character as a Jesuate* man* (could or and*) his worsened* age* and physical infirmities,* Frisbie’s justice* and* the cause of humanity* would not be promoted by his confinement in the Penitentiary. We therefore humbly petition that he may be pardoned by your Excellency,
