His excellence Gov. [[Moore, Andrew B. (Andrew Barry), 1807-1873|Andrew B Moore]]
I have been acquainted with [[Flanigan, Seabarn|Seabarn Flannigan]] 15 years + I know him to be a very ignorant man. He was convicted and pleaded guilty of [[Robbery|stole]] my mule. He might have gotten away after he stole my mule, if he had any [unclear] - He sold the mule + came back into my neighborhood, with the money in his pocket. The [whole?] circumstances connected with the affair show a great [want?] of intellect. I believe from information in my succession, that he has [him?] sufficiently punished + that the public good would not be injured by his pardon. I therefore recommend Seabarn Flanigan to the mercy of the governor.
