The State vs [[Parmer, Jacob| Jacob Parmer]]
The [[Circuit Court|Circuit Court]] — [[Barton County (Ala.)|County of Barton]] Alabama Year 1858—
In open court comes [[Wilson?, W. H.|W. H. Wilson?]] [Who makes the oath that he was recommended as a Witness in the above state a case at the instance of the defendant [[Parmer, Jacob|Jacob Parmer]] and attended the trial as a witness but was not introduced or examined. That official never communic—ated to the attorney who represented the defendant the facts while he would prove critical after the trial of said case and not until today — That the affiant on the day that defendant was [?] before [[McGee?, B. H.|B.H. McGee?]] a justice of the peace for said [[Clayton County (Ala.)|Clayton Co.]] and a short time after the pocketbook was charged to have been stolen. [Law? Saw?] Said [[McLean, James|James McLean]] <s> whose pocketbook was charged to have been </s> the party from where he the [[Larceny|Larceny]] was charged to have been committed, with a pocket book and one Hundred and nine dollars in it. <s>Said</s> Affirms and on the same

Day. said [[McLean, James|James McLean]] prosecuted paid pocket book to affiant and requested him to take care of it that when so presented a contained one hundred and two 250/100 dollars and that affiant took and left said book for about two days — that the book which affiant received res above stated, audience the dissertation given by said [[McLean, James|James McLean]] of the one Stolen in his examination on the trial of said case. Affiant was present and heard said [[McLean, James|James McLean]] Testify —saw him produce the pocket book that had been stolen. And the pocket book so described <s>was in</s> [similar?] in description the one described with affiant as above stated.
