Barbour County To His Excellency
Andrew B. Moore, Governor of the state of Alabama
The [?] of the undersigned John [b.?] Hill respectful[y?] represent with your Excellency, that a bill of [?] was found against your
[?] at the [?] [?] of the Circuit Court for said county, for gaming, and that your [?] was arrested by vitrue of a Capias issued from
said Court, and gave loud [wette?] once [gamer?] [Rose?] as [?] in the [?] of two hundred dollars [Royalle?] to the state of Alabama
in case [?] should fail to appear at the next term of said Court, a [from?] term to [?] there offer to [answr?] said bill of indictment. [Love?]
[?] for there represents court, youre Excellency That at the fall term of 183-8 of said court, your [?] there a resident of Americans in the
State of Georgia came to Clayton, the place of holding said court, one Monday morning of the week of said [lema?] where the criminal [?] was [?]
up, and remained on hand in Clayton where said Court was held, [?] [?] of the same week, when he was [informed?] by Haywood [Pickens?] [Senior?],
who had examined said Criminal [docket?]- that [petitioner?] case would not [journalist?] be reached [to?] that day, and that he would be safe
in [going?] away until next [morning?] - [Petitioner?] further [alleges?] that having [infer?] that [?] in the tour of Midway about eighteen
miles from Clayton he left - the [heart?] for the [justice?] of [artudies?] to [a?], with the introduction of [reframing?] next morning.
On the day grow [justitication?] left Clayton (Wednesday) the said case against [Justitication?] was called and a [forfeiture?] [Iakeno?], [owed?]
a indigenous [mini?] [oulened?] your [hip?] [said?] [hermit?] [Justitication?] for the sum of $200.00 on account of [Justitication?] absence.
[Petitioner?] further alleges that he did reading early over Thursday morning to [chard?] his trial, when he found that said [forfeiture?] had
keen [irkes?], and the case continued. [Love?] [Jedidence?] was then [reorganized?] with one James Rose in the sum of two hundred dollars to
offer at the next [terra?] [thereofes?] of said Court to answer said lies of indictement [Peditioner?] [furture?] alleges that at the time of the
[billing?] of said Court at the spring [Lema?] 1859, it was impossible for [Justitication?] to attend said [Lema?] of the court, by [reason?] of
the prevalence of the [dual-fox?] your [justification?] then residing in [St.?] [James?], Georgia, was to [Columbia?], Alabama, and the
[Goverenancy?] Court of Balfour [?], [honors?] [?] guards to prevent the [ingreds?] of any [indecency?] under whatever [jreduxt?] from the place
[Justiticaion?] then lived into the said Court and [justitication?] alleges that by review of said [arterdies?] the said [Lema?] of the Court
[Lome?] [Petitioner?] further [addresses?] that in [evaporance?] of his [offense?] of said [Shrimp?] [Ferra?] 1859. The said judge meant [miri?]
was rendered final against {young?] [Justitication?] and his said security [farmers?] Rojo for the said review of the laundered dollars - For the
reasons set forth your [Justitication?] {thay's?] your excellency that an order may be guaranteed re-authority of the said sum of money, and
[engineer?] the collection of the same under the execution to the [ignore?] from said Court, your [justitiary?] having at the [Fall?] Lema 1859
of Said Court appeared and reorganized with sufficient [surities?] for his future [offerance?] to [answer?] said bill- and that your excellency
