Dear Sir
Enclosed you will find an application to verdict a fine against his [?] UD Davis. Garrot is absent
or you get a letter from him on the subject I was not convinced the [?] heard the
announcement at the Court House door made by Ga? Is the presence of [Roipter?] that Davis
case was to be continued by consent and this matter stated by Davis in relation to that
transaction are true. I did not hear the case called in Court and I am satisfied Garrott did not.
The [?] was taken under a mistake I am? held; and Col [Roipter?] admits it. Under these
circumstances I cannot doubt that your Exellency will immediately remit the penalty
With great respect
Yours truly
