Sir

I have to day, received from
this city Mr. S.A. Ellison as Supt. of the "Alabama
Soldier's Home" at his own request, (in consequence of
his fears, from the pressure of the Conscript Officers.)

And I have appointed Private John W. Garth
as [Super't?], Pay One hundred and thirty dollars
per month.
