[[Moore, Andrew B. (Andrew Barry), 1807-1873|A. B. Moore]], Governor of the State of Alabama
The undersigned petitioners respectfully plead unto your Excellency that at the Spring Term A D 1858 of the Circuit Court of said County. The State of Alabama for use of Coosa County County recommend a judgment against [[Lewis, John H.|John H Lewis]]., [[Overton, John B|John B. Overton]] + [[Turner, John]] John Turner for the sum of Fifteen hundred Dollars, and that said judgement was obtained upon a forfeited Board said John H Lewis, John B. Overton and John Turner [curse?] the securities for the appearances, of said Court of our Lewis [?] Turner, who was judicted for [[Crime|Larceny]] from a [devsliding?], said Turner failed to appear. A judgement was taken against said securities as aforesaid.
Your petitioners also further [plead?] that [said?] [defence?] was made by paid securities as the time said judgement was taken, and that said judgement was for the full account of said Board.
Your Petitioners further show that since the reduction of said judgemnt Executive issued and was [buried] by the [plight?] of Coosa County upon the land of John H Lewis [?] is the [?] security and that said land was sold for the sum of Eight hundred Dollars and the funds applied to the payment [page break] of said judgement. Said Lewis [?] said paid two hundred Dolalrs [?] or paid Judgement. [Madling?] in all One Thousand Dollars, leaving a balance [yet?] due of about Five hundred Dollars.
Your petitiones further show that that the whole of said [necessary?] has been paid by said John H Lewis who is the [?] security - and that said Lewis is a [?] of: [?] [?] [?] a large [family?] and in consider-ation, that said Lewis has paid one Thousand Dollars on said [?] and that this [balance?] should he be concluded to pay say existing [deficiencies?] [?] of the [?] of supporting his family. We therefore respectfully pray your Excellency to release him from any further payment on said judgement, and in duty bound, we will [?] [judge?]

In consideration of the reasons set forth in this foregoing petition, and from the fact that [?] is willing to remit five hundered of the forfeiture against the said petitioners John H Lewis, I hereby render five hundred dollars of the said forfei-ture against the said Lewis to be remitted.
