The undersigned peititioners of [[Jefferson County (ALa.)|Jefferson County]] would respectfully represent unto your Excellency that on the February Term A.D. 1859 of the Circuit Court of Jefferson County [[Little, Henry A.|Henry A. Little]] was convicted of an [[Assault and Battery|assault + Battery]] [upon?] the body of [?] [[Lowery, David|David Lowery]] and fined one hundred and thirty three dollars besides the [Code?] of the [?]. Your petitioners further represent unto your Excellency that the Assult + Battery Convicted of Breaking David Lowery by Henry A. Little while the former was lying down under the influence of intoxicating liquors. Your petitioners further represent unto your excellency that there was no serious damage done to the person of the said David Lowery, that the said Little was not activated by the principles of Malice to commit the Assault + Battery and that the Breaking was done through spark + [few?]. Your Petitioners further represent unto your Excellency that Henry A. Little is a young mad, and inexperienced and of limited means, and unable to pay the said fine wihtout a great sacrifice, and that since the Time the said fine was assessed against him, he has become a changed man, and undergone a considerable reform [?]. Your petitinoers are of the opinion that the fine of one hundred and thirty three dollars is excessive and should be reduced to the sum of Twenty five dollars [?] which, [?] which the [Code?] of the [prosecutions?] your petitioners think is sufficicent fine and punish [mean?]. In lieu of the foregoing facts your petitioners [?] your Excellency to reduce the fine of one hundred and thirty three dollars to the sum of Twenty five dollars And as in duty bound to
