Dear Sir. We have organized a Cavalry Company at Harrells x Roads Dallas County. By the name of the Cane Break Cavalry Company. Enclosed you will find a list of names which is a correct copey- of the [rall.?] of the Company - with the officers designated The men Composing the above Company live in the Counties of Perry and Dallas. We do not know whither such a company is strictly legal- but may it not be legalized by an application to the legislature, for a charter, if we obtain a charter If a Company organized as above stated, can obtain commissions Please consider this an application
and let us know immediately
wether or not we can obtain
Commissions and Arms from
the state, under the circumstances
as some few of us wish to attach
ourselves to another Company - if we
Cannot as I have stated.
