It being made known to me, that a [forfution] was taken again-st [[Brition, Burre| Bursel Brition]] ^ & on [[McPherson|McPherson]]^ in the [[Circuit Court|Circuit Court]] of [[Coosa County (Ala.)|Coosa County]], at a former term of said ^court^ as bail for his son [[Brition, Abel. J. |Abel. J. Brition]], who was indicted for [[Larceny|Larceny]] <s> f[unclear]<s> fifteen hundred dollars I have remitted five hundred dollars of said forfication for the following reasons - when said Abel J. Brition was in person he made his escape & went to the house of Burrel Brition his father, who wots [went?] to the sheriff of Coosa County. That his son was at his house & the consequences of this confer-nation he was arrested, & put in prison agaice- - The deft [defendant ] was often often words [corner missing] …ods a by Burrell Brition

and out McPherson- Petitioners having procured [eoice?] McPherson to go on the said bail bond by giving him a loan on his Land his only property of any value- <s> For<s> the & in the reason that is ^is^ is [represinbia?] that [ower?] persons have indursed the young man to leave the state [foquist?] the usher of his father - I am also informed that the old man has made effort to get his son back here I know Burrel Brition personally, & have known him for thirty years- he is know seventy-four years old was a good [[Soldier|soldier]] in the [[War of 1812|late war with Great Britain]] & is mow very feeble- where a citizen of [[PerryCounty (Ala.)|Perry County]] where I know him well, he was known as an honest and good citizen For the above reasons I remit on hence of the forfuture of $500-
