I Wilie H Pope Clerk of the circuit court of Shelby County State of Alabama do hereby certify that the opposite page of this leaf or half sheet contains & is a true copy of one of the papers contained in the package named in my answers to 4th ^&5th interrogatorys, there being two seperate sheets of paper composing said package inside of the envelope enclosing them, & the half sheet hereto attached contains & is a true copy of the other paper of said package, & said package which was sealed up when delivered to me as stated in my said answers to said interrogatories, besides the direction thereon quoted in my answers, had the following endorsements to wit: "Received this package Jany 1st 1861 N B Mardis" "Received of N B Mardis these returns 3rd day of January 1861 R H Brasher Jr" and which said package as soon as I received it & before opening it & en= dorsed as follows: "Recd of R H Brasher Jnr Jany 3/61 W H Pope clerk"- In witness of all which I hereto set my my name officially & affix my private seal having no seal of office at office in Columbiana this 25th day of January 1861.
