Dear Sir,
Here with you will receive a petition praying the ecmiption[?] of two fines, assessed to Mr. [[Malone, Reuben J.|Reuben J Malone]]. It is signed by [[Judges|Judge]] Hale, who presided, and was to have signed by the Soliciton, but it was omitted Moousle inordonantonce. You will how ever receive a letter from him. These men no [[Jurys|Jurys]]
I was present and know the facts, and beg to rssine you, But the case calls justly for Executioe insorforence. Mr. Malone is the clear of 2nd [[Malone, George|George Malone]], who is our faithful, excellont, and only [Sclloss?]. Out [oim?] Courts! The Bar, who you! Reuben, cannot do without a little good Whiskey, had been persuaded Mr. Malone to send for a Barrel, which he kept for their exolusine aise[ ?]. The defendant lately from [[Mississippi|Mississippi]], know nothing of the laws; and Mangh[?] <u> Ignoomtin[?] <u> <u> lagern[?]<u>, <u>excusass<u> <u> non<u>, yet he did not intend to violate the laws the two young men, ready grown, who accasionally at a distance from this place ment to school, applied upon the

assinito[?], and Mr. Reuben Malone, not suspecting but what it was wanted be their families, sold it. His principal has never sold Liquors. Is a highly moral and respectable Citizen, and thought I am not concerned except as a friend I hope you will find is consistent with a wooers of public duty, as I know it will be with the public will, to remit the fines
