When asked about his experiences with his wife and living together, he had this to say about how they met.
“Well let me explain. We met way back there when my wife was working up there I think it was a hamburger place. I ran into her back in – what year was that? Hey it was fifty years ago, let’s put it like that. I was calling her to the hamburger place up there on 6th Avenue. I can’t recall the name of the place right now, but that’s how we met. And what it was is like to me she seemed to be just as sweet as she could be. And you know she come out the country so you know she done had a hard life but she run into me and what happened is it turned out it would be God sent” – Joe Minter
For fifty years the two had been inseparable, seemingly the other half that God knew they each needed.
