The Neglected Mystery of Man's Desire for Alcohol
Man, Alcoholism
The article discusses the potential original reason for mans desire to drink stemming from original sin or deprivation of alcohol. When this theory failed they discussed the effects of alcohol how it affects the brain by acting as a depressant. Looking at the role of alcohol on the body tied into its potential part in the human economy as a reason for man to drink. The artifact then spoke about alcohol improving memory and brain function but this was disproven by research. Following this was the alcohol and its relation to health and longevity. But here again met with research that says otherwise, alcohol is not safe to use during surgery like it once was thought to be okay. The artifact then goes on to discuss the purpose of alcohol to be increase pleasure and mask pain. This seems to be a main cause of mans desire to drink but the artifact also brought into account woman's much larger responsibility and potential stress but they have less alcohol consumption statistics. Ending on the topic of where alcohol came from and the idea that every human drank alcohol if they had access to it from the beginning of time, maybe it is inherent after all.
