Feb 29: The first death from the coronavirus happens in Washington State.  U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams echoes CDC guidance encouraging Americans not to buy face masks needed by medical professionals. “They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus, but if healthcare providers can’t get them to care for sick patients, it puts them and our communities at risk,” he says on Twitter. Joe Biden wins the South Carolina Democratic Party presidential primary. *
