Dec 24: Trump’s pardoning of Blackwater Guards guilty of murdering Iraqi civilians in cold blood dismays even otherwise supportive military figures.
Dec 25: As Americans gather in enormous numbers for Christmas celebrations, Trump refuses to sign the employment aid renewal bill. Unemployment benefits will expire for 14 million people if Trump doesn’t sign it. Car bomb detonates early in the morning in Nashville.
At 6:30am (CT), a car bomb exploded in Nashville on 2nd Ave. North, near the AT&T building. No one was seriously hurt other than the driver, who assumably died in the blast. Lost in the coverage is the news that it’s the same city that suffered an EF3 tornado that ripped through the John C. Tune Airport and then through the residential northeastern part of the city in the middle of the night on March 3rd this year, killing five and injuring over 200 others.
BREAKING: This is the RV that exploded on 2nd Ave N this morning. It arrived on 2nd Ave at 1:22 a.m. Have you seen this vehicle in our area or do you have information about it? Merry Christmas to all those celebrating in California and across the country! I know this year’s celebrations look different, but it’s critical that we continue social distancing (but not emotional distancing). Wishing everyone a day full of hope, family, and good cheer.

#BreonnaTaylor should be celebrating Christmas today loved ones. But bc Brett Hankison, Jonathan Mattingly, and Myles Cosgrove had no respect for her black life, her family mourns instead. We will continue to fight for every person/family affected by police violence. pic.twitter.com/u8f16Zlrhy
