Nov 5: Trump continues to claim the Democrats are trying to steal the election as Biden nears victory. U.S. single-day coronavirus cases hit 121,000. Trump protestors intensify their protests against the vote count. Right-wing talk-radio host Alex Jones tells protesters that Democrats “are trying to steal the election but America knows what happened and it’s fighting back.” Facebook shuts down the ‘Stop the Steal’ group, which grows to 365,000 members in one day, after they posted violent pro-Trump language. Judges reject two claims filed by President Trump’s campaign against vote counts in Georgia and Michigan.
