YAF Poster

This image shows both the extreme YAF response to the founding of the GSU, and the backlash to the YAF. This poster was originally hung on the UA Campus in 1984 to advertise a YAF meeting later that day, before being vandalized by several people. (“Waiting on the Worms” appears to be a reference to a Pink Floyd song “Waiting for the Worms,” a song against fascism.)

Political Cartoons

These political cartoons, published in The Crimson White, show Young Americans for Freedom as an extreme right group. However, while the cartoons criticize YAF, it is important to realize that the paper also did not necessarily support the Gay Student Union, and published many pieces against the GSU as well.
