Party Map - Note

Party Map

Party Map - February 2, 1993 - hand drawn map showing final address for party

This map was written on a scrap piece of engineering graph paper, pointing to the intentionally ephemeral nature of the document. In addition to its intended temporality, the map is intended for one person. Considering, then, the limited intended audience, the clear final address, coupled with a map littered with easily identified landmarks, speaks not to a shift in group dynamics but, instead, the need to keep specific invitations limited in scope. This hand-written note illustrates the need for invitations entirely coded - only those within the know would receive the note, maintaining the level of safety GLBA members needed.
